The Jan Vaněk family winery was established in 1995. It currently cultivates and processes grapes from 4.5 ha of its own vineyards, located in the U sv. Urbana and Dívčí hora vineyard groups. The winery’s philosophy is to combine the gentle processing of grapes using modern technologies with subsequent traditional vinification in wooden barrels.

VINO HORT is one of the few domestic wineries that purchases grapes from leading winegrowers. Emphasis is placed on variety, position, selection of healthy ingredients with a higher sugar content and lower bush yield. VINO HORT is known for its high-quality and award-winning wines, which primarily include excellent rosé wines.
Wine Tasting with Znovín Znojmo on 19 September
The Znojmo sub-region is one of the four sub-regions in the Moravia Wine Region; it comprises a total of 3,530 hectares of vineyards and 91 wine-growing villages. The sub-region is especially famous for its aromatic white wines. The Sauvignon, Riesling and Grüner Veltliner varieties provide great wines, while Pinot Blanc, Gris and Noir, as well as Pálava, are also excellent.
Wine Tasting with the ARTE VINI Winery on 10 October
The ARTE VINI winery in Znojmo District takes advantage of the continental climate with large temperature differences and sandy loess soils to produce wines with a typically fresh and fruity character, complemented by elegant minerality. They focus on traditional varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Zweigelt, as well as the promising Moravian Pálava. They also offer wines from the internationally renowned Chardonnay and Sauvignon varieties, which, thanks to the specific conditions here, acquire a unique regional nature. The grapes come from top locations in the Znojmo sub-region and the vineyards are managed in a biologically sustainable and environmentally-friendly way.
Wine Tasting with Kolby Winery on 7 November
Kolby got its name from the slope of the same name, which is located close to the winery, on the edge of the Pouzdřanská Steppe National Natural Monument in Mikulov District. The clay loess soil with its high heating value and the unique microclimate create a typical steppe terroir, which is strongly and uniquely reflected in the flavours and aromas of Kolby wines. From young, light wines with fresh acidity to mature, full-bodied and mineral wines. On an area of almost 40 hectares there are 9 white and 3 blue grape varieties. The winery’s flagship varieties are Riesling and Welschriesling, the Burgundy varieties Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, and the blue variety Cabernet Sauvignon.

A winery with unique architecture, built in the middle of its own vineyards near Mikulov and Pálava, known since the 13th century and supplying wine to Prague Castle as early as 1522. It produces original, very natural white predicated and special wine solely from its own grapes.
